More information about Bartinney Élevage 2017
The Bartinney Élevage pours into the glass in a beautiful red color and impresses with its harmonious composition. The cuvée consists mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%), which gives the wine its notes of dark fruit. Smaller proportions of Cabernet Franc (19%) and Petit Verdot (11%) provide even more complexity and aromas of black cherries, violets and mocha. On the palate, the Bartinney Élevage is well structured with fine tannins that skillfully accentuate the light spicy notes and nuances of blackberries. The three grape varieties were aged individually for twelve months in French oak, and after blending, the red wine matured for a further six months in barrels. Enjoy the Bartinney Élevage on its own or combine it with dark meat - preferably lamb or beef - or duck breast. A delicious cheese platter is also a good choice with Bartinney Élevage. Incidentally, the name "Élevage "œ refers to the winged figure that can be seen on the label. It is a symbol of the French art of maturing grape varieties individually, allowing the wine to rise to its highest perfection, as this allows its best characteristics to unfold.
