More information about Carminia
Beer style: IPA
The ideal IPA stands out from the crowd, looks tempting and convinces with its unique taste With the Carminia from Birra Karma we have an IPA in our range that combines all these attributes!
In technical jargon, "IPA" stands for India Pale Ale Here, however, we prefer to call it an Italia Pale Ale, i.e. an Italian-influenced India Pale Ale, as Birra Karma is based in Italy and knows how to skillfully brew the Italian way of life and the flair of the Mediterranean region into beer As a rule, IPAs are brewed with a high original gravity and an increased alcohol content With an alcohol content of six percent, Carminia is therefore on the lower end, but this does not detract from the wonderful aroma and stunning taste
Carminia impresses with its great appearance as soon as it is poured: a dark mahogany color and a fine-pored, beige foam promise maximum drinking pleasure When tasting the aroma, the hop varieties used are dominant and are elegantly rounded off by fine grapefruit notes The pronounced hop-fruit aroma is also reflected in the taste, but is elegantly balanced Floral notes and a restrained peach aroma underline the hop bitterness and make the IPA palatable Only in the finish does it become bitter again: Here the hops give their all once again and round off the beer enjoyment with a crowning finale
With its subtle bitterness and moderate alcohol content, Carminia is not an IPA in the conventional sense As it is pleasantly hoppy and very drinkable, Carminia is perfect as a starter beer for IPA newcomers
