More information about Cantine PaoloLeo "Giunonico" Primitivo di Manduria DOP Riserva

From vines over 70 years old, harvested by hand. Aged for 20 months in 5000-liter oak barrels, 4 months in steel and 3 months in the bottle.

Silky, intense notes of blackberries, sour cherries & stewed plums combined with complex hints of cocoa, vanilla, almonds and currants. On the palate, it displays an impetuous elegance. The tannins are velvety and embrace all the senses of taste and smell.

The ripe fruit is accompanied by a delicate freshness that balances out the power. The finish is long and aromatic with notes of sweet spices.

Cantine PaoloLeo

The Leo family has its vines, which are up to 80 years old, on the Salento peninsula in Apulia, Italy. Paolo follows his grandmother's advice in his philosophy of using only the best grapes for his wines. This enables him to produce wines of the highest quality that are typical of the region. Numerous international awards are proof of this.
