More information about Cantine PaoloLeo "Fiore di Vigna" Primitivo Salento IGP
Harvested by hand and dried for 3 weeks before fermentation, which gives the grapes their intensity.
Matured for 12 months in American and French oak barriques, followed by 6 months in the bottle.
Pleasantly spicy bouquet with notes of blackcurrant, plum and spice cake as well as some cocoa. There are also gentle notes of potpourri & Mediterranean herbs. Velvety tannins and a good structure ensure a round, mature taste.
Rounded off by a long finish, reminiscent of dried figs and Amarena cherries, yet not overloaded.
