Panama Boquete Casa Ruiz (200g)
Characteristics: Very mild with notes of citrus fruit, blueberry and caramel
This Latin American coffee is characterized by its good, full-bodied richness and balanced acidity. The coffee taste is very pleasant and aromatic. Due to its special roasting, the taste is slightly reminiscent of dark chocolate.
Growing region:
The growing area is in the north of the country and is located on volcanic soil. The plantations are rather small. This means that the coffee plants can be very well cared for. This is reflected in the high quality of the green coffee harvested. The cultivation areas are located at an altitude of around 1500 meters.
Brazil Sao Silvestre (200g)
Characteristics: Delicately sweet with notes of nut, nougat and chocolate
Brazil Sao Silvestre is a naturally mild coffee with a harmonious aroma, a sweet softness and a long-lasting chocolaty aftertaste.
Growing region:
This top Brazilian coffee comes from the Fazenda Sao Silvestre in the mountains of Minas Gerais, one of the most traditional and best coffee-growing regions at an altitude of 1300 meters. Fazenda Sao Silvestre regularly scores top marks at international tastings. The coffee farm, which covers around 250 hectares, produces a single-vineyard coffee with great dedication and social responsibility, while respecting the local ecosystem.
Papua New Guinea Sigri AA (200g)
Characteristics: Very full-bodied with notes of passion fruit, lemon and orange
Papua New Guinea Sigri is characterized by its spiciness and light acidity and is considered to be harmoniously rounded with a full body.
Growing region:
In Papua New Guinea, Arabica coffee is mainly grown by smaller farmers in areas that are sometimes very difficult to access. The cultivation altitudes vary between 1300 and 1800 meters - which is the ideal altitude for a top-quality coffee.
The coffee plants originally come from Jamaica. The coffee culture in Papua New Guinea is still relatively young, but is known for its high quality standards. The work on the plantations is laborious manual work, if only because no machines can be used in the mountainous regions. This is why coffee from Papua New Guinea is always hand-picked.
India Monsooned Malabar AA (200g)
Characteristics: Low acidity with notes of dark chocolate and cocoa
Our medium-bodied roast gives the Indian Arabica beans a pleasant taste of dark chocolate with a light tobacco note. The coffee has a medium body and relatively low acidity.
Growing region:
A beautiful story and a wonderful coffee: Originally, the coffee was transported to the consumer countries on sailing boats and was quite exposed to the weather. The humid monsoon climate, the heavy rainfall and the temperature differences between the country of origin and Europe changed the coffee's smell and taste, size and color. This weather-related change found its fans in Europe and is still "artificially" recreated today.
Ethiopia Mocha Sidamo (200g)
Characteristics: Delicately spicy coffee with a slightly floral note
Ethiopian Mocha Sidamo is a spicy, strong coffee with a full body and a slightly floral to slightly berry note.
Growing region:
According to tradition, it was monks who first used coffee in the 9th century as a "wake-keeper" for their nightly prayers - but probably not as a drink, as we enjoy coffee today, but by eating the coffee cherries. Nowadays, this coffee in Ethiopia, which is traditionally ground to a fine powder in a mortar and brought to the boil with water, is served with freshly roasted grain or popcorn.
The "Sidamo" growing region is located in the south of the country, near the Ethiopian highlands. The country is one of the main exporters of Arabica beans on the African continent. Out of a population of around 77 million, around 12 million live directly from coffee cultivation.
