The astrolabe is a navigational instrument and the name is a reminder of Portugal's long seafaring tradition. Only particularly healthy grapes were selected for this wine.
After controlled fermentation, it matured for several months in barrique barrels and now shows delicate nuances of vanilla and roasted notes. However, no new wood was used so as not to overpower the beautiful fruit. The result is a wonderfully multi-layered wine with blackberry and cherry alongside spice. In the mouth it is juicy, powerful, finely rounded and harmonious.
It is ready to drink now but can also be stored for up to 6 years after the harvest. An award-winning wine with an excellent price.
