More information about Ettli Farmkaffee Pacha Mama
With its subsidiary Ohana Social Enterprise, Ettli is building a bridge between family-run coffee farms and socially responsible people and companies.
Ohana Social Enterprise is a network of people who want to support the fair and direct trade of coffee. With purchase prices far above the world market level and sustainable partnerships, we support the farmers and at the same time ensure long-term high quality for our customers.
We believe that climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing our society. That is why we plant a tree for every kilogram of farm coffee, which binds CO2, contributes to biodiversity and creates jobs. In addition, we give our farmers a 50% share of our profits by investing the money in sustainable and social projects locally.
Our Pacha Mama specialty coffee comes from the Peruvian highlands around the village of Miguel Grau from the family-run farm in the Chanchamayo region. It consists of 100% of the finest Arabica beans of the Caturra and Catuai varieties. The coffee beans mature for ten months at an altitude of 1,320 to 1,720 meters in the shade under trees.
These near-natural conditions in mixed cultivation contribute to soil conservation and ensure a balanced ripening cycle. This is how the Arabica beans mature into this high-quality, full-bodied coffee.
