Mulled wine spice

Our mulled wine spice is a spicy mixture for preparing mulled wine and Feuerzangenbowle.

We have the perfect recipe to turn a simple red wine into a delicious mulled wine.

You will need:

• 1 liter of red wine
• 2 tbsp mulled wine spice
• 1-2 cinnamon sticks
• 1/2 tsp honey
• orange slices

Pour the red wine into a pan and heat over a medium heat. It is important to note that the red wine must not boil, otherwise the alcohol will evaporate. Pour the mulled wine spice into a tea bag or spice sachet and add to the pan with the orange slices and cinnamon. Lemons also go very well with mulled wine instead of oranges - or combine the two. Finally, stir in the honey. Alternatively, agave syrup also tastes very good. If you like the intense taste of cardamom, you can add a few capsules.
