Sea salt coarse

In the Middle Ages, salt was so precious that it was also known as "white gold". Today, it is impossible to imagine our kitchens without salt, especially sea salt. Sea salt is obtained from the evaporation of seawater. The so-called salt flower, also known as "fleur de sel", is the special feature of sea salt. The thin salt crust forms on the surface of the water depending on the sun and wind conditions and is usually skimmed off by hand. Salt gives food a special flavor and many gourmets prefer the coarse-grained sea salt in a mill.
