More information about Fairview Bloemcool Ploegperd 2022
The Fairview Bloemcool Ploegperd shines a powerful straw yellow in the glass. The cuvée of Palomino (55%), Chenin Blanc (30%) and Grenache Blanc (15%) is partly made from grapes that come from old vines. They produce an unusual white wine, of which only 2600 bottles were made. The bouquet reveals wonderful aromas of yellow fruit and mineral nuances. The white wine is complex and fresh on the palate and impresses with fruity melon aromas as well as a hint of oak. The Fairview Bloemcool Ploegperd was matured in a combination of oak, clay amphorae and stainless steel tanks. This white wine cuvée is best enjoyed with poultry, seafood or fish. But the Fairview Bloemcool Ploegperd is also a pleasure on its own. Incidentally, the name means "plough horse" in Afrikaans and is a reminder that horses were once used to work in the vineyard.
