As you know, we have a soft spot for brews that not only taste good, but also do good So we were thrilled when Dutch brewery Gebrouwen Door Vrouwen launched their latest creation Their Zonnig Zeewit is an unconventional wheat beer created in partnership with the Seaweed Farmers and supports their work with ten cents per can sold The Seaweed Farmers are an Amsterdam-based organization, The Seaweed Farmers are an Amsterdam-based organization that produces organic fertilizer and bioplastics from algae Their work aims to highlight the value of algae for the circular economy and raise awareness of marine plants The cultivation of algae removes Co2 from the atmosphere and provides a habitat for marine animals and birds We are delighted that our and your beer consumption is helping this worthy project

The brewers behind Zonnig Zeewit prove that seaweed is not only incredibly useful and versatile Their brew contains a good portion of it: the sea vegetables enrich the aroma of orange peel and other citrus notes as well as light malt with mineral, subtly salty undertones
