"Dresden's charm and Saxony's soul" can be found in every bottle of Hellinger 42. Whiskies distilled according to the Scottish model and finished with Saxon perfection are created in the Dresden Whisky Manufactory. These single malt whiskies reflect the soul of Saxony with their unmistakable character and taste. Martin Brambach, known as a crime scene inspector, actor, author and connoisseur, regularly inspects the progress of production and is convinced of the outstanding quality of these Saxon whiskies.
This whisky is first stored in American bourbon casks and then matured in port wine casks. This special ageing process gives it its dark color and a full-bodied, spicy note.
A floral bouquet with fine spices, herbs and citrus fruits unfolds on the nose. The sweetness of caramel and honey blends with notes of red wine, ginger and delicate oak in the background.
On the palate, the whisky is full-bodied and creamy, with a melange of baked apples, pickled pears, sour cherries and caramel. Herbs, wild fruits and oak are added later on.
The finish is complex, characterized by oak and a warming malty sweetness, accompanied by a hint of citrus.
