The sun is shining, the air is balmy and the birds are chirping - the perfect day for visiting relatives! The Hertl brewery takes care of your culinary needs along the way.
If you want a trip to be a real highlight, then I recommend you pack all your Hertl relatives! Tobias Leisner, Carsten Mümmler, Jimmy Barnes and Felix ensure a good mood and high spirits in every situation with their hoppy exuberance and malty cheerfulness.
It's one of those things with excursions: bad weather puts you in a bad mood, a shoe that pinches is no better and if the provisions leave something to be desired, then the whole venture can go badly wrong.
That doesn't have to be the case! Good preparation is the key to success and my beer package is definitely one of them! We Hertls are a fun bunch and with four different types of beer, there's definitely something for everyone.

2x Maracuja Felix Pastry Sour Ale - 0.5 l | 5.7% vol.
To give apprentice Felix and his creative mind a fitting welcome to the Hertl family, I have dedicated a beer to him that is just as crazy as he is: Maracuja Felix is a passion fruit pastry sour ale that is refined with passion fruit puree and lactose. The drinkable sour ale has the creamy sweetness of a milkshake and a similarly smooth consistency. In terms of taste, Maracuja Felix scores with great passion fruit notes and a harmoniously balanced acidity.

2x Der Leisi red beer - 0.5 l | 4.2 % vol.
Der Leisi is a full-bodied red beer with a palatable 4.5% vol. and a soft, delicately balanced character. The shimmering copper beer smells and tastes of creamy caramel and brings a complex, multi-layered taste profile to your tongue.

2x Brauer Carsten Kveik Fake Lager - 0.5 l | 5.6 % vol.
I have come up with a very sophisticated beer for our excellent brewer Carsten: his beer equivalent is a so-called Fake Lager. The lager in sheep's clothing is fermented with a top-fermenting Norwegian yeast called Kveik and contains a real surprise. Despite the top-fermented brewing temperatures, the beer ends up tasting like a fruity, extremely drinkable lager. To give it a special hop kick, I added an extra portion of Citra hops to this unusual beer. By dry hopping with this aromatic hop variety, the beer gains fruitiness without becoming too bitter. Our Kveik Fake Lager Brauer Carsten is a real fruit explosion and goes perfectly with our Carsten!

2x Uncle Jim NEIPA - 0.5 l | 6 % vol.
We celebrate our apprentice Jim Barnes (also the oldest apprentice in Germany!), his courage for new beginnings and his always sunny disposition with a wonderful New England IPA called Uncle Jim. This drinkable beer has 6.0 % vol. and is brewed with the aroma-intensive hop varieties Amarillo BBC, Citra BBC and Bru-1 BBC. In addition to the green gold, we use the holy trinity of barley, wheat and oat malt. This grain roundel ensures an incomparably creamy mouthfeel and gives the beer its stately stature. Uncle Jim is a densely cloudy beer delight in bright gold with a tropical, fruity character and is just as much fun to drink as our Jimmy!

Brewery Hertl
Brewmaster with heart and soul in the smallest brewery in Franconia - David Hertl is currently Germany's youngest brewmaster and beer sommelier, as well as a budding wine sommelier. At the age of 22, he completed his master craftsman training before subsequently supplementing his further training as a beer sommelier on a part-time basis. In 2013, he went into business for himself and opened his own brewery, Braumanufaktur. He discovered his passionate interest in brewing as a teenager. His first beer experiments in his mother's kitchen led to the former pigsty on his parents' farm being converted into a miniature brewery. Today, the charismatic young brewer already produces around 80 hectoliters of the finest beer on 80 square meters, and the trend is rising: a new brewhouse and further equipment are to boost production strongly, as demand for David Hertl's barley juice specialties...
