More information about Mandarina
Kemker Kultuur is a highly specialized brewery that has chosen two areas of the art of brewing that can still be described as niches Jan and his team are committed to the renaissance of old Münster beer styles and pursue this plan with dedication, passion and an unerring eye for detail No path is too far for them to produce authentic beers in the traditional manner: Countless experiments are carried out, hours of research are done and sometimes the brewery even has to grow its own grain in order to get as close as possible to the historical original The other hobbyhorse is no less time-consuming After the recipes have been painstakingly reconstructed and brewed with raw materials that are almost extinct in some cases, the result is filled into oak barrels for long months The vessels for maturing come largely from France and were previously used for wine production
The Saison called Mandarina was also barrel-aged The beer, inspired by the art of brewing in Belgium, was stored in the barrels for more than a year, during which time it developed an incomparable aroma While the barrel deepened the soft malt base and lent woody and spicy notes to the brew, the maturation also intensified the summery freshness and juicy fruit notes of the main hop variety Mandarina Bavaria
Oak, tangy citrus notes and golden orange - an unusual treat for the palate!
