Beer style: Barley Wine
The Kuehn Kunz Rosen brewery has a penchant for poetry when it comes to the design, naming and description of its brews - and the brewers have added a dash of drama to their latest creation: Their Barley Wine is called a revelation and, with a steadfast 10.5% and a tightly woven flavor profile, gives beer connoisseurs nothing less than one
Behind the purple and gold watercolor label is a subtly composed masterpiece made from three types of malt and two types of hops Exotic dates and fine balsamic vinegar provide that little bit extra These unconventional ingredients harmonize wonderfully with the character of Barley Wine and lend it a sensational elegance
The revelation after Kuehn Kunz Rosen presents itself in the color of exquisite whiskey in the glass and crowns itself with a hand's breadth of nut-brown foam An intense malt bouquet fills the air with notes of ripe banana, dried fruit, smoke and the fine acidity of fine vinegar The first sip flatters body and soul with fiery warmth and a rich abundance of roasted cereals The taste is composed of caramel, candied red fruits, soft date sweetness and hints of aromatic oak wood The balsamic vinegar complements the aroma with subtle acidity and notes of barrel-aged dark grapes For an extra kick of barrel ageing, we also offer the Barrel Aged version of Offenbarung
What can we say? This Offenbarung is a real revelation!
