More information about Men's hobby coastal sambuca
Max, our former apprentice and now qualified distiller, set about developing a new liqueur recipe for the MÆNNERHOBBY distillery & brewery after successfully completing his training.
It was to be Sambuca and here it is. The coastal sambuca has a typically intense aroma of aniseed. Star anise, citrus peel and the odd secret ingredient round off the flavor profile.
Coastal Sambuca is traditionally enjoyed room-warm with a coffee bean, which gives the liqueur a certain zing when chewed. If you like it really hot, light the liqueur on fire first. But our coastal sambuca can also be different! When chilled, the anethole, an essential oil of star anise, freezes and forms beautiful crystals in the bottle. Cold enjoyment is a matter of taste, but it is definitely a visual highlight.
The coastal sambuca is ideal as a digestif - or just whenever the mood strikes.

The name MÆNNERHOBBY was chosen relatively quickly - what else should a small distillery in the village where Martin distills good schnapps be called? At that time, no one knew how big the whole thing would become. Martin didn't have any real prior knowledge, but that wasn't a problem either. In our digital age, you can always help yourself. Of...
