"Genuinely Mecklenburg!" - really delicious! - that's the Maennerhobby natural sea buckthorn liqueur.
We source the sea buckthorn for our liqueur directly from the region. A couple near Ribnitz-Damgarten grow sea buckthorn as a side business. We are allowed to harvest the entire plantation every year. Really regional, really brilliant!
How is Maennerhobby natural sea buckthorn liqueur made?
Sea buckthorn is a wonderful fruit, but it does have a few complications when it comes to processing: When sea buckthorn is heated, it produces that typical, somewhat musty taste. That's why we juice and macerate the sea buckthorn berries cold. This means a lot of work, as we have to filter them properly.
In the natural version of our Maennerhobby sea buckthorn liqueur, we have left the pulp in. It may not always look flawless, but it tastes all the more like sea buckthorn!
What does Maennerhobby natural sea buckthorn liqueur taste like?
The liqueur has an incredibly intense sea buckthorn flavor. It tastes really tangy and is packed to the brim with fruit!
