More information about Marder Whisky BLACK FOREST RESERVE "Cask No.90
This single malt from the Marder Distillery is already the 3rd special bottling. It is matured for 5 years and was bottled at cask strength with 54.6% vol. The storage/maturation was first for about 2 years in a new American oak barrel, then spent another 3 years in a freshly emptied "vintage" (similar to a port wine) barrel.
From the fresh oak we get light green notes as well as a nice vanilla and subtle toasted aromas. From the vintage barrel reach us fruity and spicy notes of plums and dried fruit. Overall, a decidedly round whiskey with a fine melt and a wonderfully integrated alcohol.
Due to the bottling of only one cask (single cask) and this at cask strength, this whiskey rarity is limited to only 369 numbered bottles and comes to you in a noble dark wooden box. Let yourself be inspired by this unique taste experience!
