More information about Morgenster Lourens River Valley 2016
This vintage was outstanding for the Morgenster Lourens River Valley - and the wine shows it. A spirited bouquet of cranberries, sour cherries and cassis pampers the connoisseur's senses. A hint of cloves and leather successfully rounds off the first impression. On the palate, the cuvée of Merlot (38%), Cabernet Sauvignon (36%), Petit Verdot (18%) and Cabernet Franc (8%) impresses with well-integrated tannins and long-lasting notes of dark and red berries. The Morgenster Lourens River Valley, which has matured for eighteen months in French oak, is best enjoyed with aromatic dark meat dishes. Duck or pasta are also a good choice with this classic red wine cuvée.
