More information about Muratie Alberta Annemarie Merlot 2019
The Muratie Alberta Annemarie Merlot sparkles a rich red in the glass and immediately seduces the connoisseur's senses with its wonderful layers of aromas of ripe plums, cocoa, cinnamon and roasted hazelnuts. Year after year, these become more and more prominent in the wine, which is matured for twelve months in French oak. Its rich character is perfectly balanced by a fresh acidity and a pinch of herbs. The name of the Merlot is reminiscent of one of the estate's first owners. Alberta Annemarie went horse riding with her father and found the Muratie vineyard by chance. Both were so enthusiastic that her father bought it immediately and left it to his daughter after his death. Over the years, Alberta Annemarie grew wiser and stronger in character, just like this wine. Although it is made for immediate consumption, it can also be stored for a few years and then enjoyed on its own or with spicy dishes with pasta or dark meat.
