A special gin was developed to celebrate the 250th birthday of natural scientist Alexander von Humboldt. Based on German rye, Humboldt Gin contains 19 botanicals, including plants that Humboldt discovered on his trip to America: congona, angostura and cinchona bark, guarana seeds and allspice. These botanicals are macerated in rye distillate and gently redistilled in copper pot stills, which gives the gin its unique aroma.
