The power potential of the deer pear has been known since the Neolithic Age. The trees grow slowly, giving the fruit enough time to develop. The older and more gnarled the tree, the stronger the intensity of the fruit. The pear centers and collects, has a generally cleansing and strengthening effect.

The Hirschbirn' became famous above all thanks to the tireless commitment of Werner Retter, who has been promoting this old fruit variety far beyond Austria's borders since 1990. In 2006, the region was awarded the title "Genussregion Pöllauer Hirschbirne".
Since 1990, the original Hirschbirne has been refined by Obsthof Retter into limited and highly sought-after specialties.
Our pleasure tip:
1/16 in a wine glass, drinking temperature: 9 - 11 °C. As a non-alcoholic accompaniment to food, our WELL Hirschbirne is particularly recommended with strong cheeses, desserts and fresh fruit.
It can also be enjoyed on its own as a fruity aperitif or as an innovative, high-quality, natural and wholesome alternative to other juices.
