The Women Producer coffee from CODECH is a special program. The coffees in this lot come 100% from farms that are owned or run by women.
The women producers receive a premium for having their lots selected for this special offering, and the premiums are used in part by the women of CODECH to support health programs in the community. Half of the premium is used for a health workshop for women in the community of Concepcion Huista, which has a high infant mortality rate.
CODECH (Coordinator of Organizations for the Development of Concepcion Huista) is a secondary organization based in the community of Concepcion Huista in the department of Huehuetenango in Guatemala.
