SHERISHÒR is a reminiscence of the golden age of whisky and trade relations between Spain and Great Britain, when sherry was transported to the British Isles in large quantities in casks.

The Scottish whisky distilleries coveted the empty old barrels, which were full of valuable sherry, because their whiskies achieved an unprecedented richness of nuances through many years of storage in these barrels.

SHERISHÒR is a minor sensation today. Since the 1980s, the flow of genuine old sherry casks has largely dried up as sherry producers have continued to use them themselves, and whisky distilleries are usually left with the compromise of using seasoned casks, often flavored with the simplest "industrial sherry", as a substitute. Genuine old sherry casks are rare and precious.

That is why SHERISHÒR has taken the opposite approach to achieve the unmistakable, nuanced taste. From a renowned (but secret) distillery, after 3 years of storage in ex-bourbon barrels in Scotland, it traveled to Spain and was stored in the classic sherry region for at least 9 years in the best old sherry barrels (up to 50 years) in the legendary Solera system in the special climate of a famous bodega in Jerez, which the cellar master designated for this purpose.

The storage in the mild Atlantic climate of Andalusia ensures noticeably faster maturation than in cold Scotland and makes it even softer and more aromatic than you would already expect from a "12-year-old".

Appearance: Mahogany

Aroma: A potpourri of dark dried fruit with prunes and sherry-infused raisins, accompanied by juicy Seville oranges and a hint of licorice, garnished with a pinch of cinnamon and fine oak spice.

Taste: Full-bodied attack of sweet, dark fruit jam, dry sherry, juicy Seville oranges and a fine herbal note, accompanied by subtly warming, spicy oak aromas, liquorice and delicate dark chocolate.

Finish: The creamy fruit jam lingers for a pleasantly long time with clear sherry notes, dry oak aromas, a hint of liquorice accompanied by herbs and fine, dark chocolate.
