More information about Villiera Monro Brut 2016
Villiera Monro Brut is always produced when the conditions for producing fine sparkling wine are particularly good - as is the case for this vintage. The name Monro is reminiscent of Jeffrey Monro Grier and Simon Monro Grier. The two cousins are the third generation to make wine on the Villiera family estate - and they do so with great expertise, of which the Villiera Monro Brut is a successful example. Rich and creamy yeast notes pamper the connoisseur's nose, while the sparkling wine impresses on the palate with its complexity and finesse. After the second fermentation in the bottle, the cuvée of Chardonnay (65%) and Pinot Noir (35%) matured on the lees for another five and a half years. You should definitely enjoy the Villiera Monro Brut on its own, but it is also an excellent combination with seafood.
