Bunnahabhain Staoisha Single Malt Whisky - Einherjer Edition

Bunnahabhain is the northernmost whisky distillery on the Scottish island of Islay. It was built in 1881 in a very remote location - until a road was completed in the 1960s, all goods were transported to and from the distillery by sea - but this is predestined because of its excellent, clean water and high-quality peat. The distillery uses water from a drain in nearby Loch Staoisha, whose name has become synonymous with the whisky. Bunnahabhain is known for its relatively sweet, nutty and sometimes strongly peaty single malts. So we chose a heavily peated, eight-year-old Staoisha for our debut of exclusive single cask bottlings under the Einherjer Edition label.

Whisky is beer with a distillation background - so it's no surprise that many brewers also have a soft spot for distilled barley juice. In the Einherjer Edition, the brewers at the Wacken Brewery have put together a fine selection of first-class single malts bottled exclusively for the Wacken Brewery.
