More information about Waterford Estate The Jem 2016
The estate's best wine already shows its complexity on the nose: Waterford Estate The Jem impresses with earthy, fruity and spicy tones, especially dark and red berries, cinnamon and vanilla are noticeable. This complex interplay of aromas continues on the palate and is accentuated by a balanced acidity and good tannin structure. Rich and long-lasting on the finish, this cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon (48%), Shiraz (22%), Cabernet Franc (8%), Mourvèdre (7%), Petit Verdot (6%), Merlot (4%), Barbera (3%) and Sangiovese (2%) will linger in your memory for some time. Enjoy this red wine, which has matured for 26 months in oak, at a very special moment. Incidentally, Waterford Estate The Jem owes its name to the owner of the estate, Jeremy Ord, who is also affectionately called Jem by family and friends.
