More information about Wismarian Arrak
Arrack is a brandy made from rice, sugar cane, special Chinese spices and fermented palm sap. In Hanseatic times, arrack was a valuable commodity.
The "noble brother of rum" also came to Wismar by sea from the Dutch colony of Batavia (now Indonesia). Today, this noble and rare spirit is exported from Wismar to the rest of the world - or at least to many parts of Germany.
Arrack definitely belongs on every well-stocked drinks shelf. Especially if you like well-seasoned spirits and/or are not a fan of rum.

Hinricus Noyte
The Brauhaus am Lohberg in the Hanseatic city of Wismar has existed for around 600 years. Since 2010, spirits have also been produced here. The spirits brand was christened "Hinricus Noyte" in memory of the brewery's first master brewer. The spirits have already received several awards. Some of them are even produced according to recipes hundreds of years old. Today, the range includes whisky, fruit brandies, herbs, gin and a beer brandy made from the brewery's own beer.
